Appointed 2010. Was born, brought up and educated in Aberdeen. A lawyer and accountant by training, Fred is now self-employed specialising mainly in property development.
He has been involved in many voluntary activities in Scotland and elsewhere for over 40 years. Sport has always been an important part of Fred's life - having played football, rugby, cricket and golf.
Appointed 2010. He was born in Aberdeen. Colin's active sporting involvement is in golf, snooker and cycling. He is a regular spectator at Pittodrie, where he is an active Aberdeen F.C. season ticket holder. Colin also holds a number of voluntary roles in organisations and charities across the city and is currently Dean of Guild for the City of Aberdeen.

Appointed 2012. Currently Senior Partner at I. & G. Collie & Co. He is a former holder of the Scottish and British University Badminton Titles, won various Tennis titles and represented Scotland in both fields. He has held various public appointments, including founder Chairman of Aberdeen Sports Council, Chairman of the Russell Anderson Testimonial Committee, Chairman of the Chris Anderson AdvisoryTrust, Director of the UCAN Urology CancerCharity and a former adviser to sportscotland amongst other roles. In 2007, his sporting achievements were recognised into the Aberdeen Sporting Hall of Fame. He is currently Burgess of Guild for the City of Aberdeen.

Appointed 2012. A former Corporate Director for Resources Management in local government. He currently services on a number of Trusts and Boards in both the public and private sectors,including Grampian Housing Association and Aberdeen Council of Voluntary Organisations (ACVO). He is also a Trustee of a national Third Sector Pension Fund. Gordon completed a postgraduate certificate in coaching in 2012 and provides coaching, mentoring and financial advice to a range of organisations.
Appointed 2012. Alistair is also the Managing Director of the company. He had a brief spell with the Scottish Sports Council in the late 1980's before moving to England where he held a variety of positions in sport and recreation management. He was the Head of Recreation and Cultural Services for a Metropolitan Council in Merseyside. Alistair has been involved in a number of Strategic Sports Agency committees and panels which have helped to influence and shape the direction of sport in the NW of England. He also served for 6 years as a National Trustee Director on the Board of the UK's foremost Leisure Management Institute, as well as chairing its NW Region's Executive Committee.
Moyra is a former Lecturer in Sport at Aberdeen College and presently a Director of Basketball Scotland. Her career has included a variety of roles in Sports and Event Management within the Aberdeen City & Shire area and has held Fellow with Diploma membership with the Chartered Institute of Management of Sport and Physical Activity since 2010, and has a keen personal interest in basketball and volunteering.
Appointed 2012. Councillor for Ward No 1 (Dyce/Bucksburn/Danestone). Started playing basketball in 1969, which led to the formation of the Beacon Basketball Club in 1970. Started coaching and, at the age of 16, became Club Secretary. Became Chairman to the Beacon Community Education Centre Management Committee in 1985. Served as Chairperson of Grampian Basketball Association twice. Formed Aberdeen Masters Basketball Association in 2000 and was elected as a Scottish Labour Party Councillor in 2012.
Appointed 2012. Graham is a Councillor for Torry/Ferryhill in Aberdeen City Council and sits on the Finance and Resources Committee, Housing and Environment Committee, Licensing Board, Corporate Policy and Performance Committee, and the Appeals Committee. Graham is involved in a variety of charities in Aberdeen and has a keen interest in a range of sports.
Appointed 2015. Alan is presently a Director of Health Safety and Environmental Management within the subsea sector of the Offshore industry. Having raised his two children in the City of Aberdeen he has been actively involved in supporting the various sporting clubs his family have been associated with. Alan is still actively involved in sport and is an advocate for clubs creating and maintaining pathways through their respective sports to allow all individuals to participate as a lifestyle choice.
Business Development Committee Chair
Paul is a former Television Producer Director within ITV. Trained at the BBC College Evesham and the National Film and Television School he has worked on and covered a number of sporting events in his professional career such as Football, Shinty, Hockey, Boxing and swimming. For ten years he managed the Multi Media Centre at Aberdeen College holding a teaching qualification in Further Education. A follower of Test Cricket having once been an amateur player for a local team, he now spends his spare time rifle shooting and angling being a committee member of Aberdeen and District Angling Association.
Appointed 2016. Cllr Alan Donnelly was born on Tyneside and brought up in Jarrow , joining the Merchant Navy in 1974 after a 4 year apprenticeship . He relocated to Peterhead in in 1980 when employed by Shell at their St Fergus Gas Plant facilities , latterly transferred offshore and relocated to Ferryhill in Aberdeen . Alan Donnelly was first Elected onto Aberdeen City District Council in 1992 for the Duthie Ward Ferryhill and was a member of the Art and Recreation Committee among other committees . Re-elected onto the Aberdeen City Council in 2007 for the Torry / Ferryhill Ward, he has held various posts including Vice Convener of Audit and Risk in opposition and at present he is Convener of the Public Petitions Committee and Vice Convener of the Finance Policy and Resources Committee.
He is Chairman of The Ferryhill Community Centre and Director of Seabank House Aberdeen, and The Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre.
Appointed in 2017. Born and educated in Aberdeen, Hugh trained as a quantity surveyor with the district council’s city architect’s department before running his own business for 21 years in the onshore construction industry.
In 2010, he acquired Rubislaw Quarry, one of the most famous landmarks in Aberdeen, where the vision is to create a unique and iconic visitor centre to celebrate Aberdeen’s granite heritage.
Other than granite, Hugh enjoys family & friends time, holidays and most sports, particularly football and golf.
