Footgolf

Looking for something a bit different? Then why not try footgolf, a fun sport which combines football skills and is played on a specially adapted golf course! Footgolf is quicker to play, more accessible, and does not require any expensive equipment.

The game is played similarly to golf, with the exception that players use a football instead of a golf ball, and the ball is kicked rather than struck with a club, working toward a ‘footgolf cup’ larger than the traditional golf hole. As footballs cannot be propelled as far as golf balls in one shot, the holes are shorter in length than for golf.

The first shot of each hole is played from the tee box with hazards such as bunkers and slopes to be avoided in order to reach the hole. The player who finishes the course with the fewest shots wins.

How to book

All bookings must be made in advance through MySportAberdeen, our online booking system. Please book one space to reserve the tee-time for up to five people.  Payment for the rest of your group can be made on the day at the golf starter’s box
