Lockdown Update (05.01.21)
As required under lockdown restrictions, all Sport Aberdeen indoor venues, as well as Adventure Aberdeen Snowsports Centre, and our 3G football pitches, are closed.
We value the loyalty of our members and are so grateful for the support they have given us. Unfortunately, due to the timing of the Scottish Government’s previous Level 4 announcement, we were unable to stop the process of Direct Debit payments being taken on 1 January.
For Get active 1, Get active 2, Get active 3, Active Starts, Active Futures and Active Lifestyles members, no further Direct Debit payments will be taken while we are under lockdown or Level 4 restrictions. The next membership payment will be adjusted to reflect our closure from 23 December until we can reopen. Active Starts and Active Future memberships can be unfrozen to access golf and outdoor tennis by emailing email@example.com
Golf, Get active 4 and Get active 5 memberships will remain unfrozen as golf and outdoor tennis is allowed during lockdown. However, for those who would prefer not to make use of their membership at this time, memberships can be frozen by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org
Covid-19 has had a devastating impact on Sport Aberdeen, but the support we have received has meant so much. We were overwhelmed by the generosity and kindness of our members who continued to pay for their membership during the first lockdown. If you would like to support Sport Aberdeen in this way, please complete the following form to continue paying for your membership while we are closed.
Lessons & Coaching
Lessons and Coaching programmes will restart when guidelines allow. Unfortunately, due to the timing of the Scottish Government’s previous Level 4 announcement, we were unable to stop the process of Direct Debit payments being taken on 1 January. No further Direct Debit payments will be taken while we are under lockdown or Level 4 restrictions, and the next payment will reflect our closures from 23 December until we can reopen. Payment by top up blocks will remain frozen until classes resume.
Being physically active, especially during this difficult time, is hugely important. It not only keeps us fit but can also have vast mental health benefits too. Get active @ Home is your FREE one-stop resource to stay safe and stay active whilst indoor venues are closed. You can choose from on-demand HIIT, HIIT Step and Yoga classes, or why not try one of our workout inspiration cards? If you are an older adult or are looking for a lower impact activity, try our on-demand Active Lifestyles classes. Last but not least, join the Active Schools team online for a range of ideas to keep the kids busy and active.
We will be posting regular updates and resources on the Get active @ Home page and on our social media channels.
Thank you once again for your ongoing support. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back to our full range of activities just as soon as we can.
