Your safety is always our number one priority. In line with industry and government guidelines we have implemented protocols and procedures to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable visit to the gym. You can find these summarised below in our safety animation and protocol document. Please be aware that, in line with Scottish Government guidelines, it is mandatory for face coverings to be worn inside our venues when you are not taking part in activity (i.e. in reception areas, bathrooms, corridors etc) so please remember to bring one with you. Face coverings do not need to be worn while using the gym or while participating in fitness classes, or by those who are exempt from wearing them.

Your Bookings

In line with the return to fitness protocol, all gym sessions and fitness classes MUST be booked online in advance. There will be no access to the gym without a pre-booked session.

How do I book a gym session or class?

All bookings should be made via MySportAberdeen. MySportAberdeen is a one-stop resource to manage your membership and make and cancel bookings all in one easy-to-use application.

How far ahead can I book?

Members can book up to 8 days ahead and pay-and-play customers can book up to 3 days ahead.

How long will gym sessions last?

Each gym session will last one hour, and will be bookable at 20 minute intervals.

How many sessions can you book per day?

In order to ensure that all members have fair access to gym and fitness classes, we ask that members book no more than three sessions per day (for example, one gym session and two fitness classes maximum per day).

Bookings will be monitored and a member of the Sport Aberdeen team will be in touch with anyone who exceeds this booking limit.

What about fitness classes?

In line with government guidelines, fitness classes will restart from Monday 17 May.

When classes restart, all fitness classes must be booked in advance. Classes can be viewed via the timetables section of the website and booked via MySportAberdeen from Sunday 9 May.

Members can book up to 8 days ahead and pay-and-play customers can book up to 3 days ahead.

FAQs
What is happening with my membership?
  • Get active 2 and Active Futures memberships have been unfrozen to allow you to make bookings through MySportAberdeen.
  • As membership payments for January were unable to be stopped, there will be no Direct Debit payment taken for the month of May. Your first Direct Debit will be taken on 1 June 2021 and will be adjusted to reflect the difference in the dates in December where our venues were closed, and the dates we will be open in April.
  • If you would like for your membership to remain frozen, please contact sportsmembership@sportaberdeen.co.uk and we will arrange this for you.
  • Get active 1 and Get active 3 memberships will remain frozen at this time. If you would like to unfreeze your Get active 3 membership to make use of the gym, or upgrade your Get active 1 membership, please contact sportsmembership@sportaberdeen.co.uk
  • Get active 4 & Get active 5 memberships have already been unfrozen. If you have chosen to keep your Get active 4 or 5 frozen and would now like to unfreeze, please contact sportsmembership@sportaberdeen.co.uk

Our Venues

Will there be any restrictions?

We have a number of processes in place to keep our members safe in the gym. Please view our safety protocols and watch our safety animation to find out more.

In line with physical distancing guidelines, we will be restricting the number of people in the gym and fitness classes. For this reason, all gym and class sessions must be booked in advance and there will be no entry without a booking.

At this time, showers and changing rooms are limited. We ask that members arrive ‘gym ready’ and bring only minimal items into the building.
