HFA (Hockey for all) was introduced in Aberdeen to encourage the uptake of ice hockey by over 16 year olds who may have had an interest but no opportunity to to join a league playing team. HFA is suitable for beginners who should have basic skating skills. The ability to stop is optional as the barrier will do the job if you can’t!

Whilst the minimum age is 16, there is no upper age limit. The current oldest player admits to being only 65. Only Non league players are permitted to attend, males or females both welcome.

This session is totally non contact.

We have a couple of sets of loan equipment available on a first come first served basis.

Session time is 1600 to 1715 on a Saturday with additional ice time when available. Any additional ice time will be advised on HFA Aberdeen facebook page.

HFA is run by fully qualified coaches and a number of the better players who attend are also willing to help beginners.

Payment at the door before the session starts.
