Sport Aberdeen is delighted to announce that we’re investing in Kincorth Sports Centre to improve the facility for our customers.

However, as part of this essential maintenance work, parts of the building will be closed to the public while the work is ongoing.

The work is expected to last until February 2018, split into phases which are detailed below. Whilst there will be slight disruption to the day-to-day running of the facility, this is crucial work that will ensure the longevity of the centre.

Phase 1 - 11th December 2017 to mid-January 2018

  • There will be a temporary closure of the aerobics studio throughout this period; however, all birthday parties and fitness/activity classes will be accommodated in the sports hall where possible. The staff at Kincorth Sports Centre or your class Instructor will keep you updated of any changes.

Phase 2 -  Mid January 2018 – beginning of February 2018

  • The General Purpose/extended gym room will be unavailable for use
  • The squash courts will be unavailable for use until completion of the project – please use the courts at Sheddocksley Sports Centre.
  • There will be disruption to the changing/toilet facilities during phase 2 & 3 where a temporary closure will be in place during these dates. However, we are working hard to keep this to a minimum and will keep you updated on timescales

Phase 3  Mid February 2018

  • There will be minor disruption to the gym whilst repairs are being carried out on the walls and roof. Again, we are working hard to keep this to a minimum timeframe.

These are provisional dates which might move depending on the progress of the work.

Once again, Sport Aberdeen apologises for any disruption caused and will keep you updated on the developments. We’d like to thank you for your patience during this time.
