Cults ASG Cross Country Events

Active Schools are running a couple of cross country practice events this term, for pupils in P5-P7 who would like to get some practice running in cross country races.

Events will take place at the grass field next to Cults Primary School and will be open to pupils from any school who would like to take part. There will be a girls race and a boys race at each event; all the girls will run together for their race and all the boys will run together for their race. The races will be timed and results will be sent out for each year group; i.e. a P5 girl may finish as 7th girl but have the 2nd fastest P5 girls time.

*For Cults Primary pupils – these cross country events will be used by the school to pick the runners to represent Cults Primary at the Albyn Schools Cross Country Championships at Balgownie on Friday 14th March. To be in contention for being selected, you must compete in at least one of these events.

Events will be weather-dependent and an update will be sent out before each race to let you know about conditions or any cancellations.

Venue: Cults Primary School grass field (next to Hillview Church)
Who: P5, P6, P7 boys and girls
Race 1: Wednesday 22nd January (1200m races)
Race 2: Friday 31st January (1600m races)
Girls race: 3.40pm
Boys race: 3.50pm

Please note that there are no changing or toilet facilities at this venue, so pupils will need to come ready to run (with warm clothes for before/after), with a water bottle. If you have any questions about these cross country events, please contact John – JoDixon@sportaberdeen.co.uk
