Our professional tennis pathway is in place to support both junior and adult player development on a continual learning basis, allowing you to develop your tennis skills throughout the whole year. Our aim is to create opportunities for everyone to achieve their desired goals, from developing their game both technically and tactically, playing tennis in competitions, increasing health and fitness or simply to have lots of fun and meet new friends.

Aberdeen Tennis Academy members will receive a number of benefits including:

  • Coaching from Academy professionals: Our coaches are all trained, qualified and accredited through the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA), which is our UK National Governing Body for Tennis
  • Continuous assessment: Supported by a player development pathway in line with the British Tennis framework

  • Free access to our outdoor tennis courts: Inclusive use of our outdoor courts for you and a guest. This will give you the opportunity to start participating in our ‘in-house’ competitions through box leagues.

Pre-school Tennis, 3 – 5 years (£21 per month)

Tots Tennis (3-5yrs)

Children from 3 years old will develop basic tennis skills along with agility, balance and coordination. Delivered in a fun and friendly environment, players will learn how to work in groups and follow instructions, giving them a head start in school and other sports.

What is Mini Tennis?

Mini Tennis – The Parents View

Mini Tennis, 5 – 10 years (£27.30 per month)

Mini Tennis Red (8&U)

Played on small courts with short rackets and soft balls, it’s just like the real game and gives children the opportunity to have long rallies and play different shots while learning basic technique.

Mini Tennis Orange (9&U)

This is the next stage of mini tennis. Played on a ¾ sized court with low compression balls and shorter rackets, these sessions allow players to develop their skills, techniques and tactics.

Green Tennis (10&U)

The final stage of mini tennis. Played on a full sized court with low compression tennis balls. Players continue to develop their techniques and tactics suitable for their age and size.

Junior Tennis, 10 – 17 years (£27.30 per month)

Junior Tennis (11-17yrs)

Teen sessions are designed for secondary school aged players and played on full-sized courts with full compression tennis balls. Players improve their technical skills and tactical understanding.

Adult Tennis Coaching (£32.50 per month)

Our adult coaching sessions aim to provide players with quality time on the court, giving you the best opportunity to reach your goals. The information below should help you to find which session is the most suitable for you.


For players new to the sport. Beginners sessions are the perfect introduction to tennis, allowing you to learn the basics in a fun and social environment.


For players who have progressed from our beginner's sessions or are coming back to the sport after a while out. Players will improve basic techniques and tactics.


For players who have played a fair amount of tennis and already have the ability to serve, rally and compete in a friendly game of singles or doubles. A great chance for you to take your game to the next level.
