Tell us a bit about yourself?
I am a qualified level 2 Fitness Instructor and level 3 Personal trainer and Exercise Referral Instructor, kettle bell instructor, chair based exercise instructor, nutritional therapist, nutritionist and advanced sports and exercise nutritionist. At the moment I am working towards my level 4 Diabetes and Obesity Management Instructor and I am a firm believer that with a healthy lifestyle and exercise you can create a better lifestyle for yourself. Over the past years I have lost a lot of weight so I know what it is like to change your lifestyle. I am not yet where I want to be but am slowly but steadily getting there. I am known for getting my clients to reach their goals by not only advising them on their food but also give them the work out programs they need to get to where they want to be. I am very passionate about helping people to reach their goals and have been very successful.
What would you say your niche area or speciality is in the gym?
My level 3 Exercise referral instructor qualification; I work with clients who have medical reasons to exercise (diabetes, obesity, asthma etc.). Further, I train people over aged 45.
What do you like to do when you are not training?
Cooking and travelling.
Most used motivational line?
2 more; last one, big push/pull!
Favourite Pre and post work out snack?
I don’t really have a favourite pre or post work out snack, I do however use a pre-workout drink for an extra boost whilst training and I tend to grab either a protein shake or bar immediately post work out.

Tell us a bit about yourself?
I moved to Aberdeen 3 years ago from Inverness when I got promoted in my previous job. I decided that the career I was in wasn’t for me anymore and so I made a big change and decided to train to be a Personal Trainer. I have now been based at the Beach Leisure centre for almost a year.
I have played football since I could walk and have been lucky enough to play for my country and spend 4 years playing in the states which means my friends have always come to me for advice on gym workouts and training tips; so it seemed a natural career change for me to go into Personal Training. The main reason I enjoy being a Personal Trainer is that I really enjoy helping people achieve their goals and improve their confidence in the gym regardless of their ability. I like to challenge myself to learn new techniques and exercises to keep my training fresh and my clients interested.
What would you say your niche area or speciality is in the gym?
I find that most of my clients have some sort of apprehension about being in a gym and so I find my strength is making the workout tough but fun, I really think it is important for my clients to enjoy what they are doing and so I use a mixture of the outdoors, the gym and the functional training room to push my clients to their limits.
What do you like to do when you are not training?
I play football for Inverness Caledonian Thistle Women’s team, so that takes up most of my Sundays. When I’m not playing football and I’m not in the gym I just like to be doing anything outdoorsy like hiking or mountain biking. I love to travel and see new places and this is something I prioritise in my life.
Most used motivational line?
You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.
Favourite Pre and post work out snack?
I generally eat something quite light before a workout, such as a banana, and most days I will have chicken and rice after a work out.
