Clubs & Hubs
The Community Sport team believes that sport and physical activity have the capacity to transform lives and that absolutely everyone should have opportunities to try a variety of activities.
Our work is focused around one of Sport Aberdeen’s charitable purposes: improving the conditions of life for people through sport and recreational activities.
The main avenues for this work are through sport clubs and community sport hubs.

Clubs
We can provide support to voluntary sports organisations in various ways.
We strive to help sports clubs be safer, stronger, sustainable, and more inclusive.
The key areas of support are:
- Funding
- Sustainable project development
- Volunteer support
- Governance
- Training
- Networking
Please email communitysport@sportaberdeen.co.uk to discuss how we might assist your organisation in these areas.
Hubs
A Community Sport Hub is a collective of local sports clubs and other community organisations that come together to improve the contribution that sport and physical activity have on a community.
Our approach is to support and empower local people to improve sport and physical activity in communities in Aberdeen. It starts with understanding the needs within a community, then collaborating to facilitate and deliver activities and interventions.
