How to book a tee time

All bookings should be made online via the BRS Golf booking system or by calling the relevant starter box at the number below. View the user guide for more information.

Your BRS log in information will be processed by our team shortly after your membership has been processed. During that time you can still book in by calling the starter boxes on the numbers below and giving your name.

Online booking for eight days ahead will go live at 07:30 each day.  Phone booking lines will open at 07:30 each day. All bookings made over the phone by non-members must also be paid over the phone at the time of booking. Please also be aware that the starters cannot provide assistance with online booking system queries.

Online booking registration process

When you become a Golf or Get active member, you will receive an email from the Sport Aberdeen membership team with a link to begin your BRS Golf registration. If you have any questions regarding this process, please contact memberships@sportaberdeen.co.uk

Booking protocol

To ensure fair access for golfers during this period of increased demand, we would ask that members please ensure that there is at least a three-hour gap between tee times booked and that each member seeks to book a maximum of two rounds per day.

Any member who books more than one tee time within a three hour period will be contacted by the Golf Aberdeen team to discuss their bookings.

We would also remind members that memberships are not transferable and that bookings can only be made for tee times that you are personally attending. Entry to the greens will only be allowed if the person who made the booking is present at the starters box on arrival, as required for track and trace purposes.

How to cancel a tee time

We request that all golfers ensure that they promptly cancel any tee times which they are unable to attend, to allow other golfers to book this time. Tee times can be cancelled either via the starters box or within the BRS Golf online booking system.

If members repeatedly do not arrive for booked tee times, the Golf Aberdeen team will be in touch to discuss next steps.

Information & Etiquette

Golf Buggies

With Golf Aberdeen, getting around the golf course is now easier than ever!

Whether you are a member or a pay and play customer, golf buggies are available to hire (subject to availability). Booking in advance is recommended and this can be made by calling the relevant golf starters box.

Cost: Members £15.00  Pay and Play £20.00

All users of Golf Aberdeen buggies will be required to read and sign to acknowledge their understanding of our Buggy Safety Policy.

Golfers can also request approval to use their own personal golf buggy on Golf Aberdeen courses. You will also need to provide our golf team with a valid medical certificate. All requests should be sent to Golf@sportaberdeen.co.uk

Golf Etiquette

Whilst on our courses, we expect all golfers to adhere to the local rules in place. As well as this, we expect all golfers to follow standard golf etiquette including the following:

Dress code

At Golf Aberdeen we don’t have a formal dress code for golfers to adhere to whilst on the course. We do however ask that our golfers dress appropriately and with respect to other players. Appropriate footwear should be worn whilst on the course for safety and protection in differing weather conditions.

Arrival

Endeavour to arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled tee time to ensure you are ready to start your round at the correct time and don’t hold up play.

Avoiding slow play

When your group is not keeping up with the pace of play of the group in front of you, allow groups behind you to play through at an appropriate time if they wish to move quicker.

Mobile phone use

Although mobile phones are not banned on the course, we do not recommend that you use your phone whilst playing as this may cause slow play or cause a distraction resulting in an accident.

Maintaining the course

Please ensure you replace all divots. Use soil/seed mixture provided on the tee to fill in the divots that cannot be replaced directly (Hazlehead Pines). Rake bunkers once you have played your shot – removing all footprints. Repair all pitch marks.

Awareness of others on the course

When on the green, do not stand where you might distract fellow players. Do not make any noise when your fellow players are preparing to take their shot.

Never strike the ball when there is a chance that you may hit another golfer or member of the public. If your shot looks like it may hit anyone on the course, you should shout “fore” immediately.

Be aware of green staff and golf marshals on the course. Alert any staff in your view before taking your shot.

Acceptable behaviour

Abusive language and angry outbursts are not acceptable and you should keep your behaviour under control at all times. Be aware of the people around you as well as fellow players as this may make some uneasy.
