The annual City of Aberdeen Bowling Tournament is set to launch this Sunday.

Running from the 19th – 25th July the tournament has attracted over 200 participants this year to compete across a variety of categories.

The Westburn Outdoor Centre will again host the competition with new sponsors Specsavers lending their support.

This year the competition has become an official ranked event through Bowls Scotland. This allows players the opportunity to be entered into the national ranking system if they are not already, providing equal opportunity for all.

With a prize fund of £2725 amongst eight different categories and a set of new bowls donated by Taylor Bowls as an additional prize, the competition looks to be bigger than ever.
