Sport Aberdeen Managing Director Alistair Robertson and Fraser Clyne, winner of the first ever Baker Hughes 10K, joined key sponsors and representatives from Alzheimer’s Scotland, Friends of ANCHOR, Befriend a Child and Stroke Association Scotland.

This year marks the 30th year of the North East’s well-established road race organised by registered charity Sport Aberdeen in partnership with Baker Hughes.

The race has been known to sell out but there is still time to enter and take part. General entries for the road race close on 14th April with the 10K running festival taking place on Sunday 14th May.

Tens of thousands of pounds are raised each year in support of worthy causes through Baker Hughes supporters and participants, with 10 official charities affiliated with the long-standing race.

Commenting, Sport Aberdeen Managing Director Alistair Robertson said:

“Now in its 30th year, we are delighted to be part of the Baker Hughes Running festival partnership and hope that even more people will take up the challenge before the entries close.

“The Baker Hughes Running Festival is an excellent example of partnership which enables Sport Aberdeen to create opportunities and inspire others by staging a fun community event in the city, while providing a platform for runners to raise money for great causes.”
