Falls Prevention

Who is the programme for?

This programme is aimed at people who are at risk of falling and who would benefit from improved strength and balance.

How will the programme work?

Once we receive your referral a member of the team will contact you and ask you some questions to work out which class would be most suitable. The class itself will be chair based, meaning you will always have a chair to hold on to or sit on when you feel you need it. The aim of the exercises will be to build strength in the key areas you use when moving and to improve your balance.

What are the benefits?
  • Increased strength and balance reducing your risk of falling
  • Increase your independence to allow you to get out and do the things you enjoy
  • Everyday tasks becoming more manageable and less effortful

If you have answered yes to the above questions, we feel this programme may be right for you. If you have answered no to any of the questions, please get in touch with the team and we can help advise you on your next step to becoming more active.
