About the Leisure Link Partnership
The Leisure Link Partnership allows members of fitness schemes in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Highland, Moray, Orkney, The Western Isles, Angus, Argyll and Bute, Shetland and the Borders to access gym, public swimming and fitness classes at leisure facilities across all of these regions at no extra cost.

The Leisure Link Partnership means that when working away from home or on holiday, members from participating areas can use the local facilities as part of their existing home-based membership.

Do I need a Leisure Link card?

No, you can use your Sport Aberdeen membership card. Please do not forget your card as you will be unable to gain access without it!

Where can I use my card?

You can use it in all participating areas: OrkneyHigh Life HighlandWestern IslesArgyll and ButeMoray/Moray Leisure Centre, ANGUSalive, Live Life Aberdeenshire, Shetland Recreational Trust and LiveBorders.

What’s included?

You can swim, use the gym and join fitness classes when spaces are available. Please note that gym induction fees may apply depending on the venue. Some of the Leisure Link partners are also offering other public sessions as part of the Leisure Link scheme. Please contact the centre you wish to visit for more information.

Summer and other children’s activity programmes are not included in the Leisure Link Partnership.

How much will it cost?

There is no extra charge to gain access under the LeisureLink scheme.

Will I need to complete a gym induction?

When accessing a new facility for the first time, you may be required to complete a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire as well as a gym induction – Please note that induction fees may apply depending on the venue, please contact the centre you wish to visit for more information.

Can I use my card as often as I like in any of the Leisure Link Partnership sites?

Get active for Less is our discounted access scheme, created to break down the barrier of price and provide more people with the opportunity to take part in sport and physical activity.

Get active for Less offers discounts to Aberdeen city residents in receipt of recognised benefits and allowances, as well as discounts to residents at the state pension age of 66 and over.

The scheme is rooted in our core reason for operation – to ensure that opportunities to participate in sport and physical activities are available to everyone, regardless of circumstance. It aims to tackle health inequalities, recognising that the most disadvantaged in our city often have the lowest participation in sport and physical activity.

What does Get active for Less offer?

Aberdeen city residents of any age, in receipt of the qualifying benefits and allowances listed below will receive the following discounts:

  • £1 swimming at our pools across the city
  • 50% discount on pay and play activities
  • 30% discount on Sport Aberdeen memberships
  • 50% discount on coached programmes
  • 50% discount on holiday camp bookings

Aberdeen city residents who have reached the state pension age of 66 and over will receive the following discounts:

If you are aged 66 and over and also in receipt of the qualifying benefits and allowances you will receive the higher level of discount.

Teen Fitness is the perfect membership for young people aged 14 to 17 years, designed to develop an understanding of how to use different gym equipment and enjoy attending fitness classes.

Teen Fitness allows young people to visit any of our gyms and swimming pools across the city, as well as attend unlimited fitness classes for only £16 per month*.

About our fitness classes for 14 to 15-year olds
  • GetMoving – Learn to stretch and move in a variety of low impact ways. Improve mobility and get comfortable with how you can move, maintain flexibility and reduce the risk of injury.

 

  • GetFit – a high intensity class that gets the blood pumping. This instructor led circuits-style class uses functional equipment and indoor bicycles to improve fitness and build strength and stamina.

 

  • GetStrong – This instructor-led class offers an introduction to safe lifting techniques using free weights in order to build muscle effectively.

Our Padel membership allows you to play regularly at the north east’s first bespoke padel tennis centre in the picturesque setting of Westburn Park.

Designed to offer a premier padel experience, you can book up to 90 mins per day to play on our padel courts as well as attend classes including adult match play, all for only £35 per month*!

Still having trouble signing up?

If you are a member, the email address you use must be the one that we have on file as being linked to your membership profile – in other words, the one you provided when signing up.

If you have ever used your email address to register with us previously the system will not recognise your email address as unique. This will include if you have registered yourself, or any of your family members on one of our coached programmes or former memberships. If you think this is why you can’t sign up, please fill out this form and a member of the team will assist you.

If you are having difficulties registering for the first time as a pay-and-play customer and have a different email address, you may want to try and register using the secondary email address.

Freezing your membership

If your current circumstances are preventing you from being able to pay for, or regularly make use of your membership (i.e. for redundancy or medical reasons) you can contact us to discuss a membership freeze.

Important Notice

Please note that cancellation must be in line with the terms and conditions of your contract which were sent to you when joining. Please do not cancel your Direct Debit with your bank until we have received confirmation that you wish to cancel and have confirmed your termination date.
